About José Carlos

José Carlos is a partner and Head Economist at APOYO Consultoría. He directs the macroeconomic analysis team for the Business Advisory Service (SAE). He specializes in macroeconomics, economic policy, the labor market, and forecasts. He heads the publication of the company’s policy proposals, an initiative that identifies concrete measures to address problems affecting the country’s development. Previously, he was an economic growth policy analyst at the Peruvian Central Reserve Bank.

Education

José Carlos holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master’s in Economics from New York University. He has completed specialized courses on international finance in emerging markets, statistics, and utilities regulation.
